The School Council is an advisory council to the Pastor and Principal. It has the responsibility to provide leadership assistance and support for the school within the context of the mission at Holy Family School.
The duties and activities of the School Council include creating a Mission Statement, the formation and adoption of policy for the school within the framework of Diocesan policy, monitor the implementation of school policy and procedure, develop/update a three year plan for the school policy and procedure, adopting a yearly budget for the operation of the school, directing a marketing committee, directing an enrollment committe, directing a fund raising committee, and providing a recommendation for the appointment of the principal whenever a vacancy occurs.
School Council Membership is elected by the Parish at large prior to the May School Council Meeting. Terms begin following the August School Council Meeting and run for three years. Meetings are held the second Thursday of the month.
